B2B logistics (representative)
A real-time operations dashboard for a logistics team
Replaced spreadsheet-driven operations with a live dashboard and a clean API — giving the team a single source of truth and cutting order-processing time.
Representative engagement. This case study illustrates the kind of work and results we deliver; specifics are anonymised. Swap in a real client story here once you have one.
The challenge
A growing logistics operation ran on a sprawl of spreadsheets and three disconnected systems. Nobody had a live view of orders, inventory, or carrier status; reconciling them was a daily manual chore, and mistakes were expensive. The team needed one trustworthy picture of the business — updating in real time, not at the end of the day.
The approach
- Map the real workflow first. We scoped the smallest dashboard that would replace the morning spreadsheet ritual, then shipped a thin slice in week two to react to reality rather than a spec.
- A clean API over the existing systems. We built integrations that pull from the order system, the warehouse, and the carrier APIs into one consistent model — so the dashboard, and anything built later, reads from a single source of truth.
- Live, not batch. Background workers keep the data fresh; the dashboard surfaces orders-per-minute, fulfilment SLAs, and exceptions that need a human.
- Deployed on infrastructure they own. Containerised and shipped behind a single TLS proxy, with versioned, reversible releases — the same delivery model behind this very platform.
The results
- ~70% less time spent reconciling data each day — the morning spreadsheet ritual disappeared entirely.
- A single source of truth the whole team trusts, replacing three disconnected tools.
- A clean internal API that became the foundation for later automation and reporting.
This is the shape of most of our work: untangle the systems, build the thin slice that delivers value, then iterate. Start a project →
